I live in just the right spot! Last night I watched some of our local fireworks right out my bedroom window. Of course I couldn't see them all but I got a great show! Today in the comfort of my front porch I watched our 4th of July Parade! This worked out nice because we got a 10 minute downpour just as the parade started by my house (about the halfway mark of the route).
